kielce-obice airport, poland

New ATC tower

In further developing leit-werk’s earlier concept instrumentalising the ATC tower and its strong presence as a landside sculpture the tower for Kielce airport emerges as a vertical structure seamlessly rising from a horizontality of the ATC offices.

The external skin of the structure is blending structural elements with projected images so that the tower takes over further functionality as carrier of information and entertainment amongst others utilising the presence of Football Euro 2012.
