New mosque building
The airport development includes a new mosque in the public area for airport employees, passengers and guests of the airport. The mosque is designed for a capacity of 1,000 people. Its two iconic minarets providing prayers a sense of orientation towards Mecca. The positioning of the minarets coincides with the planting grid reinforcing the superimposition of the secondary cultural/religious grid on top of the primary airport grid.
